Well, the Trump administration is busy alienating themselves from Europe. So Europe is not likely to follow lead there. Its capabilities is of course not so good as US, but I think Russia is pretty hard pressed when Putin immediately agreed to negotiate.
Yes because Putin felt now he get the maximum of what he wants. And after 2-3 years, in which we will see a spike of murders and terror in the “West”, he will come back for the whole of it.
As already seen Europe wouldn’t “follow the US lead” verbally but will be just as content to take any peace deal, lower energy prices by a cent before the next round of green self-immolation and continue virtue signalling about its strong will to protect its values.
